How to prepare and present a good speech

HOW TO PREPARE AND
PRESENT A GOOD SPEECH

A speech is the act of delivering a formal spoken communication to an audience. We can define it also as a long oral message given publicly usually by one person. To present a speech there are three points to consider: the speaker, the listener, and the speech.
How to prepare a good speech?
As I think, there are four important steps that you should follow if you want to prepare a good speech:
1- The first thing you need to know is what your speech is about, if you are asked to write a speech on a specific topic, make sure you research your topic well, take advantage of the internet or your local library. But if you are free to choose the topic, let me advise you to choose the topic which is interesting for the audience that you have to face, and known for you, look at what you know, and think of topics that you know a lot about.
2- Once you have your research down, write a rough draft of what you would like to say.
3- Make a basic outline of your speech; We all know that a speech can be segregated into introduction in which you define your topic generally, body include the main ideas of your topic, and conclusion contain your point of view, or some solutions, or a small summary of what you have said in the body. So, outline your speech accordingly.
4- Revise what you have written, and make sure that you have respected the outline, and haven't lingered on a topic for far too long.
Now, after having your speech written, you should know how to present it:
How to present a good speech?
Well, you can do it only if you have the audience attention all
throughout. To present your speech in a good way there are things to consider such as body language, eye contact, posture... and so on. There are also four tips that you must keep in mind:
1- You should know your content, your transitions, and your timing, i mean by your timing the time you were asked to speak.
2- Before you present your speech in your bathroom stand up and present it in your bathroom. 3- Fell for the topic you are speaking of, and be interested about it.
4- Write notes about your topic on note cards, you can use these note cards as you are speaking to keep you on track.
Finally, as a conclusion, i told you to remember whatever topic you
choose, ensure that you know your topic well, follow the outplan, make the session interactive, try to attract more listeners to your speech, and make sure that you speak aloud and enthusiastically. Brief, keep all these fundamental tips and steps on preparing and presenting a speech in mind, and there will be no audience that will seem incurious to your topic.
